Jasper’s record: 13-5-1
Game Summary:
- Game
was moved to Jasper’s practice field, due to the sloppy condition of the game
field. Conditions on the practice field were ideal. The field
conditions were not a factor at all in the game.
- Very
physical, well matched game.
- Jasper
seemed to control the tempo through the first half.
- Washington
was able to break through when a corner kick resulted in a foul inside the
box. Lance Davis converted the penalty kick to put Washington ahead
1-0.
- Jasper
still continued to play well, and create opportunities for themselves.
A couple of shots just before half just missed, and the Hatchets
took a 1-0 lead into half.
- Jasper
came out strong in the 2nd half, putting pressure on Washington’s keeper.
But a few saves, a ball off of each post left the Cats feeling like
they couldn’t catch a break.
- Jasper’s
last good chance came on a long shot from Ryan Huckelby with just under 10
to play. The shot carried over the keeper’s head, but rang off the
crossbar.
- #10
Washington wins their 4th straight sectional.
